- Fun facts: Scott first started programming when he was 9 years old. Scott grew up on the Jersey Shore but he does not sport a fake tan or go by any strangely descriptive nicknames. Scott once chose to jump out of an airplane at 11,000 feet; he landed on his feet.
- Likes: Raw vegan cuisine and fancy-pants dessert. Inspiring growth and healing in others. Studying the cello and learning about all things related to music.
- Dislikes: Life is too short to not like things, but let's use the word "moist" carefully, OK? Oh, and mushrooms too.
- What makes me tick: good people, smiling, running, wine, cooking, water (drinking it, playing in it, riding on top of it… you name it, if it involves water, I love it).
- My #1 all-time passion in life is: Traveling.
- Nickname: K-ho (I know what you’re thinking… don’t go there)
- Life-Long Dream: To be Richard Branson (the female version)… private island included.
- If I were an animal, I’d be a: Dolphin (duh, who wouldn’t.)
- Pet -Peeves: People who don’t follow through. If you say you are going to do something, do it.
- Fun fact: If I were 1.5 inches shorter, I’d be legally handicap (dead serious)
- Life Long Dream: Play cricket for the West Indies! However, I gave that up to work for GlobalMojo (yeah right - I'm horrible at it, but I do love the game.)
- Hobbies: Playing soccer, video games and solving mathematical problems in my spare time
- Personal Pet-Project: I’ve been building an interpreter to solve mathematical equations surrounding the branches of pure mathematics.
- Fun Fact:Jayjay's real name is Jose Jose. That's right, same first and last name. Do not ask him his middle name or he may have to release the Kraken on you. (IT IS NOT JOSE ALRIGHT! It's Reyes!)
- Likes: Watching and playing sports, Musicals, Good food, Apple Products, Video games, TV shows (the scripted kind and not so much the reality tv kind but I do have a few guilty pleasures)
- Pet-peeve: People who ride on the passenger seat of a vehicle with their feet up on the dashboard or sticking out the window.
- Fun Fact: She knows how to calculate using an abacus, and she's allergic to oranges and watermelons.
- Loves: Green, vegan alternatives to mainstream products, like cute reusable snack bags, vegan soap, vegan sneakers..., and puppies
- Dislikes: Bean sprouts, UGH!
- Hobbies: Sajina is a professional Indian classical dancer who likes Cooking and Travelling.
- Cool Fact: : Mike is a recent cancer survivor that gets to support others in the fight against cancer. He loves helping anyone that is touched by the disease since he had such an awesome support group throughout his own battle.
- Likes: : Mike really likes to eat (especially sandwiches), traveling, golf, softball, and the Colorado Rockies.
- Dislikes: : : Mike doesn’t like unfriendly people and Giants fans during baseball season.
- Fun Fact: Micheal is fluent in American Sign Language with about 25 years of signing experience. Micheal is also HoH and enjoys socializing within both the hearing and deaf communities.
- Likes: Computer gaming, photography, and drawing. Comics (Marvel, please!) and original comic art. My all-white, 12-year-old Siberian Husky, Einstein.
- Pet-peeves: Poorly-designed and implemented anything.
Ted West, Interim CEO, GlobalMojo
Ted has 26 years of experience as an entrepreneur, corporate executive, director, and advisor to founders, boards, and senior management teams of emerging growth companies around the world. Prior to co-founding Sage Partners, Ted was involved in a number of private and public companies, including LookSmart, CATALYST (sold to Ameritech), Network 1.0 (sold to SOFTBANK), RealNames, Get-Me-In, and Memetrics.
Scott Everson, Director of Technology
Scott is busy cleverly architecting GlobalMojo's core technology so that it can handle all of the traffic and load you can generate while you passionately support your favorite charities and causes! Having been working in the IT world for just over 18 years now, Scott's career has taken him through many crazy adventures, including multiple startups in various industries. Scott is excited to finally get to use his technology super powers to save the world!
Katie Horgan, Head of Marketing Operations
Katie is Globalmojo’s resident marketing maven and she won’t sleep at night until the world knows about Globalmojo. Hailing from the dirty-dirty (that’s South Louisiana, y’all), Katie has spent the last 5 years in San Francisco working her marketing magic on several nonprofits and small business, including the hit PBS TV series, MoneyTrack. Whether she’s tweeting from the set of the Early Show or designing behind the glare of her computer, Katie pours her passion and expertise into all that she does.
Barrington Henry, Software Developer
Barrington is an IT enthusiast who loves fiddling with technology, especially when it concerns the web. A seasoned web developer, his experience spans 8 years from working on Jamaica's eGovernment systems as a business analyst to working as a web developer on various web application projects. He’s got all the right stuff – a pro at PHP and JavaSript and pretty darn good at Java, C++ and C. Barrington is truly loyal and has been with Globalmojo from the early days.
Jayjay Jose, Software Developer
Jayjay is thrilled to be a part of GlobalMojo. Willing to go above and beyond what is expected, Jayjay plans to be a key contributor to GlobalMojo's success by using all the tools and knowledge that he has learned in his five years of professional experience. He has developed a vast array of projects including websites with Facebook and Twitter integration as well as built customized content management systems for several clients from his previous company.
Michelle Thai, Marketing Intern
Michelle is a SF Bay Area native who loves the outdoors. She's currently a student an Emerson College in Boston, tweeting and blogging her way to becoming a marketing professional. Her passion for social justice stems from her six years as a youth organizer at a nonprofit, Californians for Justice. She looks forward to showing everyone in the world how awesome they can be with GlobalMojo.
Sajina Patinhattayil, Senior QA Engineer
Sajina is excited to be a part of the GlobalMojo Family, and brings in 6 years of IT experience, including Development, Support and Quality Assurance. She is all charged and motivated to make sure the quality of GlobalMojo products are set to the highest standards.
Mike Duchen, Marketing & Business Development
Mike feels like he landed his dream job at GlobalMojo. Mike assists with various marketing and business development efforts while channeling his passion of building relationships and helping others everyday. Before joining the GlobalMojo team, Mike led sales and developed direct partnerships with major hotels, brands, and hospitality groups in diverse international markets. Mike has also spent time working with the Micro-Consignment model in Guatemala and helped train local entrepreneurs to become more sustainable.
Micheal Shallop, Senior Software Developer
Micheal has been writing programs since 1980 where he started programming in BASIC on a TRS-80 Model III. He graduated from Oklahoma State with an Honors degree in Computer Science in 1991 and thereafter landed his first professional position as a C/C++ developer. Micheal began writing web-based applications in 1994 and has continued to build his skills specializing in operating system internals, database design, and framework development.
